WHAT’S THE 411?

We are asked on a daily basis what it takes to become an ambassador for the brand. Knowing we are not alone with this request from our fans; we decided to hit up our alpha dogs over at DRANGED HQ and set up a meeting to settle this once and for all.

Tickets booked, we took to the skies and after a short flight, touched down in DRANGED country, Cape Town. As is the custom, we trade the boardroom for a house of iron to thrash our debates out and smash one hella brainstorming sesh surrounded by our kin.

We usually spend the better half of an hour figuring out the form of workout we hit when we visit DRANGED HQ, from a full on ego boosting pump sesh to a soul crushing functional fitness WOD, which got us to thinking: “this would be the ultimate ambassador search format!”

This is the culmination of two heavyweights in the industry putting their minds together to launch the most badass ambassador search in the history of fitness.

QUIT SPITTIN’ RIDDLES, WHAT’S THIS ABOUT?

As the search name suggests, there are two elements, Aesthetics and Performance.

The Aesthetics Phase will form part of and take place after the top 10 selection. This will display the potential Ambassador’s willingness and determination to promote the brands in his area of training and in his lifestyle.

The Performance Phase will form part and take place after the top 5 selection. This will be a showcase of the potential Ambassador’s performance capabilities in a number of physical challenges, taken equally from a number of fitness styles programmed by the leader of the CrossFit Valley Road Storm Troopers, Jaco van der Vyver.

PERFORMANCE MEETS AESTHETICS

To receive the privilege of standing toe to toe with the NUTRITECH® Athletes and Ambassadors, it is important for us to take the process seriously to do justice to not only the NUTRITECH® brand, but also our partners, DRANGED.

The name of the search, ULTIMATE ALPHA, sourced from DRANGED history, mirrors the self same standards we as brands look for, defining the type of Ambassador who will eventually receive the title.

The Ambassador needs to compliment both NUTRITECH® and DRANGED in the standards the brands uphold. As such we, as NUTRITECH®, have insisted on a zero tolerance approach to any ambassador entering the search openly promoting the use of illegal performance enhancing drugs in any manner; as a brand, we love sport and believe in the integrity of competition and this is to be echoed by the ambassador chosen.

ULTIMATE ALPHA is not simply Aesthetics and it is not simply Performance, it is the area in which these two opposite ends of the industry meet, coupled with a dose of character and approachability for good measure; this defines what both brands view as the “ULTIMATE ALPHA”.
